We will arrange to meet with you on-site and discuss your specific project requirements. We will clearly outline the process from here with you. We follow the strict guidelines of the Queensland Building Construction Commission. Our company Licence is QBBC No1282244. Michael Chilcott Building and Renovations use Master Builders contracts which secures your job under safe business practices.
Following this we will act upon your instruction quickly and efficiently, making the whole building process as enjoyable as possible.
How long does the building process take?
Every project, depending on its requirements, will have a different construction period. At Michael Chilcott Building & Renovations, we use scheduling software to maximize the efficiency of the building process. Generally, bathrooms and kitchens take a 3-week period or less.
Why do builders’ quotes vary so much?
Has a specification been prepared for the project? The specification outlines in detail the scope of work to be carried out and the materials that are to be used. This is an important document to provide to the builder as he is able to price the works according to the specification. It will also force all builders quoting on the project to price and allow for the same items listed in the specification, enabling you as the customer to compare apples with apples.
How much will my building work cost?
At Michael Chilcott Building and Renovations we do a comprehensive, detailed quote prior to commencement of work. You will know exactly what your renovation will cost from the beginning.
Can I make changes?
Should any unforeseen changes arise we will consult with you prior to proceeding. Any changes made during the work by the customer outside the original quote will be put in writing with costing of materials and

What services does Michael Chilcott Building & Renovations provide?
We specialize in Renovations – specifically in Bathrooms, Kitchens and Laundries. We provide a free 1- hour in home consultation to personally discuss your renovation options and requirements.
We offer a detailed written quotation outlining the overall costs of the renovations.
We will see the project right through from the design and consult stage to completion stage, including all council submissions or work from previously drawn plans prepared by the customer’s designer.
We also are licenced to remove asbestos requiring a “B” Class Licence.
Can I live in the house while renovations take place?
The majority of the time, we can renovate or extend your home without you having to move out. Although, depending on the size of the renovation or extension you may find it more comfortable to move out for a period of time during the building works.
